Café Touba

Tonton Jeb Café Touba is Senegalese spiced coffee in infusion sachets. Café Touba is coffee roasted with djar, the Guinea pepper (Xylopia aethiopica), and often a few cloves, giving it a warm, peppery aroma that is unmistakable on the streets of Dakar. The drink of the Mouride community, it takes its name from the holy city of Touba and is traditionally served hot and sweet. To prepare, steep one sachet in a cup of hot water for four to five minutes, then add sugar to taste. Made in Senegal, the coffee is presented in a pouch of 20 infusion sachets (36 g).
